Frequently Asked Questions Where are your cabins located? Our cabins are located all around Townsend, Tennessee. Some are in the city limits of Townsend and some in the Wears Valley Area sitting between Townsend and Pigeon Forge. All are very convenient to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cades Cove, and Little River. Townsend, TN is located just 15 miles to the west of Pigeon Forge so all of our cabins are "just down the road" to Dollywood, Splash Country, Dinner Theaters, well known restaurants and more. How do I find the cabin once it is rented? Smoky Cabins will either e-mail or USPS mail you specific directions to the cabin where you are staying. These directions take you directly to your cabin street by street and turn by turn. Do you charge any "fees"? We do charge a minimal cleaning fee according to the size of the cabin being rented. Between each guests stay, we have all of your linens sanitized for germ killing and cleanliness, sterilize the hot tubs, Whirlpool baths, bathrooms, floors and kitchens. How can I reserve one of your cabins? It's very simple, you can either make the reservation online by clicking "Book Now" and filling out the proper form or giving us a call on our toll free number. We answer the phone from 8:00am - 10:00pm. We will need some information from you such as your name, address, phone numbers, e-mail address, and how many guests. What is the deposit requirement? We require 1/3 of the total due to be paid at the time of reservation. We accept the 1/3 down payment in the form of a credit card (Discover, Visa & Mastercard) or personal check/money order. If you chose to pay by personal check or money order, it must be received in our office within 10 days or the cabin could be offered to someone else. This is not in addition to your total rental fees. What time is Check in/Check out? Our check in is 3:00pm and check out is 11:00am. We try to make this as convenient as possible for our guests but we do have to clean the cabins between each visit. Depending upon the size of the cabin, it could take 4 hours to clean it. If you leave after 11:00am and do not have prior approval to stay late, you will be charged a $100.00 non-refundable late fee. There are times that we might be able to give to permission for a late check out, just ask. We'll try to work it out for you. What is the cancellation
policy? Due to
holding these accommodations and in consideration of the fact that we
did not rent this unit or these dates to others, we cannot return any
payments unless you cancel 30 days prior to your arrival date (30 days).
If you cancel and the date is greater then (30 days) from your arrival
date we will refund your deposit, less our administration fee of $50.00.
If you cancel less then 30 days to your arrival day, you forfeit all
monies, unless we can rent out the cabin that you reserved. If we do, we
will send you a refund of your deposit minus the cancellation fee of
$50.00. Do your cabins have swimming privileges? Some of our cabins are members of the Laurel Valley Country Club. Those cabins guests are allowed to swim at the country club free of charge from open to close each day that they stay in the cabin. See your individual cabin amenities to see if your cabin is a member. What is supplied in the cabin? All of our cabins are supplied with fresh, clean linens for your stay. (sheets, blankets, towels, kitchen towels, etc). All of our cabins have fully equipped kitchens meaning you can cook a full course meal with the supplies in the cabin. (Not all cabins have dishwashers). Just bring your own food. Each cabin also has a starter supply of dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, bath soap and garbage bags. Do your cabins allow
pets? We do have pet friendly cabins. They
are Hillcrest, Sweet Surrender, Cedar Chalet, Doe Run, Mallard's Rest, Angler's
Retreat, Smokeys Edge, Fish N Bear, Mountain Adventure and Cliffside.
All pets have to be 10
pounds or under, crated while alone and treated for fleas. Guests
staying in our cabins are responsible financially for any and all
damages. All guests must have permission from the office for you to
bring a pet. Do your cabins have phone service/internet service? Not all of our cabins have phone service. Please check with the individual cabins amenities to see if it has a telephone. If your cabin does have a telephone, it can be used with dial up internet service only. No long distance calls are allowed in any cabins. Do you provide firewood? We provide firewood from October 1st - March 30th. We do not provide kindling or fire starters. If you use the fireplace at times other than the stated period, you will be charged a fireplace cleaning fee of $50.00.
