  We loved our time in this Cabin. The view from the front deck was beautiful and so very peaceful. The cabin was clean and well cared for. The upstairs TV room had super comfy chairs to read or watch TV in. It is a bit of a drive to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge but it was a stunning trip through the national park so we didn't mind it at all.

  Wonderful cabin in a fabulous location. We have been using Smoky Cabins to book our vacation cabins for 10 years, have always been very happy with the cabins rented. Great places at great prices and very clean.

  My husband and I and our twin 5 year olds loved this cabin and would definitely stay here again! The girls loved having a loft bedroom and their own living room, the porch setting, the stuffed bears, and the hot tub. My husband and I loved the overall setup, having a door from our room onto the porch, the hot tub, the kitchen stocked with dishes/pots/utensils/etc. The space was perfect for our family. It was clean and well setup. It’s also close to the neighbors, but still feels quiet and secluded because it’s in the woods. Note that the driveway was fairly steep, though our van handled it just fine. We only had one problem with the upstairs bathtub leaking into the downstairs bathroom, but management was able to fix it the next day; the fact that my husband took a video of the leak really helped them figure out the problem. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, would recommend this cabin, and would stay here again!

  This place was perfect! We experienced a great deal of traffic getting through the park and were quite disappointed on that. We can fight traffic in Atlanta. Consequently, we did not want to go into Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Townsend was perfect. Lots of really good places to eat without going to national chains. The cabin was superb. Super clean. The kitchen was the most equipped I’ve ever seen, and I cook a lot and have been staying in cabins for many years. Beds were comfortable. The loft living area was great. The porch was great. Totally private and in the woods. I would love to stay here again. The management was also quite responsive.

  Another great week at Bear Meade 🐻 This makes our 5th stay here. We celebrated our 45th anniversary and got to spend time with our 2 grand daughters. We saw a total of 28 bears in Cades Cove this time. Can’t wait to come back!

  Bear Meade was absolutely wonderful! This was our third time staying here. The cabin was spotless and had everything you could possibly want. The beds were super comfy and the fireplace was great on the cold snowy mornings. We had a wonderful time and will be returning again soon.

  Bear Meade is a very welcoming and comfortable cabin. From the fall decorations that greeted you at the door, to the well stocked kitchen and the comfortable beds, you are made to feel right at home. The location is so close to Cades Cove that you can visit in the morning, return to the cabin for lunch and go back later in the day to see the Cove in the afternoon light. You can’t ask for anything better!

  We were very happy with our stay at Bear Meade! The cabin is very nice, well cared for, and well cleaned after previous guests. It is nice to feel so remote, but to still be so close to Townsend and local amenities. We will definitely be back!

  Really great cabin. The hot tub was nice, especially since we had a few cold nights, and even our 10 year-old had fun. The place feels really secluded and quiet, yet Townsend is only 5 minutes away, with places to eat, a grocery store, gas stations, etc. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are each about 20-30 minutes away, and an entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park is just on the other end of Townsend.

  We fell in love with this cabin! Scary with the ice and snow but a beautiful cabin and amazing views! We enjoyed the hot tub very much!! Will definitely make a return trip soon!

  Bear Meade is a beautiful cabin and made us feel right at home! We loved the huge porch & sitting areas, plus the hot tub. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. This is our 3rd time staying with Smoky Cabins and we recommend it to everyone and plan to continue staying with them in the future.

  The cabin was very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We loved the deck/porch. It was wonderful to be able to eat on it every evening. It was so nice to be so near to the park! We loved staying in Tranquil Townsend and thankful we were NOT staying in Gatlinburg! We ended up in Gatlinburg a couple of times and it was CRAZY BUSY!!

  We loved Bear Meade Cabin! Our favorite was the huge front porch that put you in the trees with the many song birds. Inside, was clean and well appointed. Slept like a baby in the memory foam beds!

  Bear Meade offers all the amenities of home away from home. The spacious dining table, multiple seating areas, king bedrooms on separate levels (each with full bath), large wrap around deck and outdoor hot tub fulfill every vacation need. This cabin features three TV's and two fireplaces and a well stocked kitchen. This was my second stay and I would definitely return!

  The cabin was a very welcome getaway for a wonderful weekend with friends. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The cabin was very nicely decorated and very clean. We felt safe in our COVID-19 environment. We enjoyed the peaceful location, did some hiking and left feeling relaxed.

  Great location. Secluded. Close to all events. Clean. The beds were amazing! Saw a family of bears just about every day. When we arrived we planned on bbqing on the pit and the propane was out but we called and they were fast with replacing the old with new.

  This is our second stay this year in this cabin and we loved it. It is in a great area and easy to access. Super clean and comfy and has everything you would need. We got to celebrate my Sister and her husbands 40th anniversary with them. We had an awesome time🥰

  This is our second time renting Bear Meade. Just like the first, we loved our stay. The cabin feels like home vs a hotel. It is very roomy and welcoming. The area is quiet, peaceful, and clean. The pool is just a nice walk down from the cabin. Can't wait to come back again.

  A wonderful cabin! We loved it! Right in the middle of everything. A Very short drive to so many activities, Incredible sights! Many restaurants only 5 minutes away, but the kitchen is well stocked with cooking items, if you plan to eat in.

  We had some concerns when we arrived, called and the concerns were addressed almost immediately. Great location for GSNP and Cades Cove. Two gas fireplaces and a hot tub. Very nice.

  Great stay, sadly we didn't want to leave. The cabin had everything and anything we needed. My only advice is for the next guest to arrive in the day time, finding the cabin at night can be challenging.

  Very nice cabin very well maintained pictures on the site of the cabin due no justice this is a must see cabin very cozy place to be. Very quite and relaxing atmosphere. Close to a lot of trails and site seeing. The cabin was nicely decorated for the Christmas holiday. Will definitely be back again.

  We had a wonderful stay. I've been using Smoky Cabins for quite a few years now and I don't plan on changing. The Bear Meade cabin was very pleasant. I would suggest replacing the mattress in the downstairs bedroom, it's done! I look forward to booking another stay soon.

  We loved this cabin. It was spacious enough for our 5 person family. We loved watching a movie upstairs in loft and playing games around the table downstairs. The covered patio was a peaceful place to sip coffee in the morning and listen to the rain. The only thing I would add is a washer/dryer.

  We loved the cabin; however, this cabin did not have a washer or dryer. We spent two days doing our laundry at a local place and spent a great deal of money. Otherwise, everything was great!

The location in Townsend was perfect for the time of relaxation we were seeking. We highly recommend Bear Meade and Smoky Cabins.

  The cabin was great. We stayed for 5 nights. Beautifully decorated with good appliances and plenty of dishes for cooking anything from casseroles to just warming items. this two bedroom is perfect for a small family and one or two children. We were there the week before Christmas and therefore, could not take advantage of the hot tub, due to the cooler weather. The porch is very nicely decorated. Our only concern was the steep driveway. We do not live in the mountains and mountain driveways are always a concern. Everything else was GREAT!
