As I age, I'm learning to "take what I like, and leave the rest", and since no one likes complaints, I'll only share perhaps observations to better future stays. THIS cabin, Bears den, was quaint, and charming, and I'm not easily charmed. The town of Townsend is easy to navigate, and has many great stopping places, and points. Bears Den Cabin had MOST everything folks would need, and settling in for the weekend was easy. The bedroom had enough space for personal items, and the bed was just right, however I did feel like the center was a bit too dipped in, leaving you feeling on one side or the other like you can roll to the center of the dip. LoL. Hot tub was relaxing, and the views to the West, and Easterly directions, were serene. Lot's of Lightning bugs. Shower pressure was nice. No flat hair here! Kitchen is open, and the fireplace rocked. I do however wish there was an outside space for a "campfire", but understand that possibly due to the close area of the nearby foot-hills, it's a fire danger. Many folks are irresponsible, and we don't want anyone burning down our Beautiful Smokey's. Parking is easy. Lots of wildlife, in the mountains to observe. Don't be a knucklehead and try to pet em though, as you're likely to lose an arm, or hand. At the cabin there are plenty of singing songbirds to chill to as you soak in the hot-tub. That about sums it up.

The cabin was very clean & cozy. The perfect size for 2 people with all the amenities needed for a relaxing get away. A great location that is private but still close to many of the great attractions of the Smokey Mountains.
Stephen Rickaby (Atlanta, GA)
Really enjoyed the cabin. Everything was as advertised. Cabin was clean and well maintained. Location is quiet and plenty of space to other cabins in the lane so it's very private. Close to Townsend but not too close. Very handy to Wears Valley gsmp entrance.

What a great little quiet place to hang your hat for a week. First off, the house keeping ladies do a darn good job. We've rented places that needed TLC as soon as we walked in...not this cabin. Location is just 3 miles or so to Townsend, convenient enough. We cook in mostly and this place had enough tools for the job I do. WiFi was good, as was the tub. No cell coverage but that's normal for us AT@T users..The only thing missing is...you guessed it, a view. But it was sooo quiet we didn't care. It's a keeper do again for us..
Jamie Jensen (NEW ULM, MN)
Cute little cabin on the mountain side. Easy to get to and conveniently located close to pigeon forge, Gatlinburg, and Townsend. Would definitely visit again.

Great company our family has used smokycabins since I can remember. They have great cabins and are very customer service oriented. We are looking to book our next trip.
