The staff at Smoky Cabins endeavors to help keep our visitors up to date on fun things to do, places to visit and wonderful places to eat. Just a few things about who we are as we begin our adventures together.
Smoky Cabins is a family owned and operated small company located in Townsend, TN. We have been in business for 15 years and have loved every minute of it. Our vacation rentals, also known as cabins, are located in and around Townsend, TN as well as in the Wears Valley area between Townsend and Pigeon Forge. We know each and every one of our cabins very intimately and care for each cabin as if it were our own. This allows us to assist our guests with finding the exact vacation rental that fits their needs. We do our best to supply our guests with welcoming, well-cared for cabins that are well-stocked and very clean.
Here at Smoky Cabins, our guests consist of families and couples who come up to the Smoky Mountains for short getaways and large family vacations. The Great Smoky Mountains is a mountain range rising along the Tennessee-North Carolina border in the southeastern United States. They are a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains and form part of the Blue Ridge Physiographic Province. The range is sometimes called the Smoky Mountains and the name is commonly shortened to the Smokies. The Great Smokies are best known as the home of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which protects most of the range. The park was established in 1934, and with over 11 million visits per year, it is the most visited national park in the United States.
Our vacation rentals provide a number of “expected” amenities. They all have comfortable beds, a living room, TV’s, fully equipped kitchens (some more equipped than others), bathrooms and parking. Some of our rentals have wonderful mountain views, free WIFI, hot tubs, pool tables, firepits, wood & gas fireplaces, game rooms, swimming privileges and more. We offer fancy cabins with all of these amenities and more basic cabins that just a few of these.
The Townsend area has so much to offer. Some of the best places to visit include Cades Cove, Little River Railroad and Lumber Company Museum and The Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center. In Townsend, you can go hiking, horseback riding, ziplining and picnicking.
