The great fishing experience you can have in The Great Smokies!

Enjoy the fishing we have in The Great Smokies. In the National Park there are about 2,900 miles of streams in the Park and protects one of the last wild trout habitats in the eastern United States. Most of the streams in the Park are not large enough to house trout populations. About 20% can safely inhabit trout. Such a wide variety of experiences for fishing such as remote, headwater streams to large, cool water streams. We are fortunate and many of these streams stay at or near their carrying capacity, which makes it perfect for fishing year-round. This is completely legal in the park year-round during the times of, 30 minutes before official sunrise to 30 minutes after official sunset.

Swimming in the area you can expect to find some brook, rainbow or brown trout, smallmouth bass, or a combination of these. The daily possession limits combined are to not exceed five fish. You are allowed twenty rock bass in addition to the limit. Once you reach your limit you have to end your fishing there, we do this to protect the nature and stability of the environment. When fishing, we hope you follow the size restrictions of smallmouth bass with a 7” minimum, any trout 7” minimum, and rock bass has none. Please return any fish caught that do not fit their qualified sizes.

If you are looking for more thrill during fishing, check out Tennessee River Monsters. If you are fishing and looking for either catfish or stripers, the Tennessee River Monsters embraces your enjoyment of Trophy fish. As a veteran owned guide service, they are notorious for their adventures with customers. Their devotion to providing you an exceptional adventure is apparent once you step onto their boat.
