Accommodations: 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 4)
"River Dreaming" is a rustic but comfy family cabin located within walking distance to Little River in Townsend, TN. Known as "The Peaceful Side of the Smokies," Townsend sits next to the national park and is only minutes away from Cades Cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
On the first floor, you will find a small but well equipped kitchen with eat-in dining. The coffee maker is a Keurig so bring your pods for a fresh cup of Java. The living room is comfy with a couple of loveseats, a rocker and a wood burning fireplace. The full bathroom is on the main floor as well.
Upstairs you will find two spacious bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and other furnishings. Each bedroom has a TV for late night watching or movies for the kids. Please note that the bathroom is located on the first floor.
This cabin is located on an easily accessible, quiet circle and sits about 100 yards from the river frontage. The cabin is about 100 yards from the river sitting on property with joint property river access. Right from the adjacent property, you can fish, swim or go tubing. The outdoor screened in porch is very large and has multiple chairs and a table for outdoor dining. There is also a really nice firepit for those cool evenings making smore's and memories with your loved ones.
There are so many things to do in Townsend and the national park including hiking, tubing, biking, fishing, browsing the various shops, visiting Cades Cove, picnicking, swimming, visiting the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center and attending the various festivals/shows. After a busy day of sightseeing, you'll love returning to the warmth and comfort of "River Dreaming" and relaxing on the front porch or sitting around the bonfire.
FOR OUR PET FRIENDLY VISITORS:
PETS MUST BE APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO RESERVATION. We reserve the right to refuse any pet at any time. We would like for you and your family (including the four legged members) to have the best vacation ever and appreciate your willingness to abide by these guidelines.
*We only accept dogs, no cats allowed. We only accept 2 pets per reservation.
*We charge a $70.00 per pet fee which is not refundable.
*Your dog must be on a flea maintenance program. (Like Frontline, Advantage, etc.)
*Your dog must be crated while left in the cabin alone.
*Your dog must not get on our furniture. If we find pet hair on our furniture upon your departure, you will be charged $10.00 per each quilt/comforter/sofa that must be cleaned to remove dog hair.
*If your dog damages our vacation home in any way, ie, urine on the carpet/floor, chewed furniture/walls/doors or molding, you will be held responsible for the damage repair costs.
*Your dog must be leashed when on the outside of the cabin. This is for the safety of your dog as there may be other animals in the area that could harm your beloved pet.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

*3pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin

Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors.
Cancellation Policy:
*$50 cancellation fee
*Before 30 days - you will get all of your money back (-$50)
*Within 30 days - whatever dates we can rebook, this is the amount that we will refund back (-$50). Example: if you had 5 nights & we rebooked 4 nights = you will be refunded 4 night+tax+cleaning fee
