Kitchen & Dining

Cook together in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with full-size appliances, ample prep space, and a wine fridge for chilled refreshments or dinner pairings. The adjacent dining room seats up to 8, so everyone can gather for breakfast plans or a cozy, home-cooked meal.

Bedroom Layout & Baths (Sleeps 13)

Main Level: King bedroom with en-suite bath.

Upper Level: King bedroom with en-suite bath; open loft with a sleeper sofa.

Lower Level: Two bedrooms—one with a king bed, and a bunk room with two sets of bunks (one full/twin and one twin/twin)—served by a shared hall bath.

You’ll find 3 full, spacious bathrooms, so getting ready is a breeze. The main-floor bath features a stand-up shower and a whirlpool bathtub—perfect after a hike or scenic drive.

Shady Maples Lodge is conveniently located just outside the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Enjoy easy access to outdoor adventures, while remaining a short drive from the excitement of Pigeon Forge (30 minutes) and Gatlinburg (40 minutes).

Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check-ins or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day

NO PETS ALLOWED OF ANY KIND; IN THIS CABIN.

Check-In:

*3 pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin

Check-Out:

*10 am - Please follow our checkout guidelines.

Fireplaces:

*On During: October 1st - April 1st

Common Concerns:

*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.

*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.

*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble; we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors.

Cancellation Policy:

*$50 cancellation fee

*Before 30 days - you will get all of your money back (-$50)

*Within 30 days - whatever dates we can rebook, this is the amount that we will refund (-$50). Example: if you had 5 nights & we rebooked 4 nights = you will be refunded 4 night+tax+cleaning fee
