Welcome to Knotty Pine, a cozy studio cabin built for two. This cabin was totally renovated in January 2024 with all new cabinetry, tiled shower, stand alone bathtub & furnishings.
This studio is set up just for couples. From the gas burning fireplace to the hot tub for two, this cabin has been designed for your comfort and enjoyment.
Don't be fooled, the small but fully equipped kitchen is just the right size to cook up your honey that special occasion dinner. The King sized bed and tiled shower are both welcoming and relaxing.
Knotty Pine is located in the Timberwinds Resort which offers privacy but some additional amenities. There is a seasonal community swimming pool and covered pavillion for you to enjoy.
IMPORTANT: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day
NO PETS ALLOWED OF ANY KIND, IN THIS CABIN.
Check-In:
*3pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin
Check-Out:
*10am - Please follow our check out guidelines.

*On During: October 1st - April 1st
Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins require a 4 wheel drive under normal weather conditions but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TV's and WiFi in most all of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble, we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt or approach any wildlife. This is their home and we are the visitors.
Cancellation Policy:
*$50 cancellation fee
*Before 30 days - you will get all of your money back (-$50)
*Within 30 days - whatever dates we can rebook, this is the amount that we will refund back (-$50). Example: if you had 5 nights & we rebooked 4 nights = you will be refunded 4 night+tax+cleaning fee

For those who discover that basing one's Smoky Mts visit in Townsend, TN, is THE BEST WAY to experience the National Park, these cabins offer a great place to unwind and revel in each day's adventure. -

Wow! Knotty Pine is so cozy and a great place for my wife and I to spend a special weekend together. During our stay, we enjoyed several restaurants, we The Local Goat was by far the best! We also loved the Titanic Museum and Hillbilly Golf. While enjoying the hot tub on the back porch on eight, we spotted a young cub. We spotted over 30 ears throughout our adventures in the area. We were so pleased with this cabin's amenities and were not lacking anything we needed. Also, it is equidistant from both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, making it's location convenient but also very peaceful. Thank you for providing such a beautiful place to make lasting memories. -

Knotty Pine was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon! We loved the location, being close enough to the park for a quick swim at the Wye but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. We spend our time hiking Spruce Falls, Abram Falls, and Laurel Falls and made our way to Clingman's Dome. We saw 6 bears on our day at Cades Cove! The highlight of our bear sightings was a bear encounter at Abram Falls. We had just arrived at the Falls when a bear strolled out of the woods 10' in front of us! If you are looking for a romantic night out, we would highly recommend The Dancing Bear Bistro! The meal was amazing and the staff was excellent. - The duck was to die for. - We had an amazing time at Knotty Pine and have fallen in love with Townsend. We will be back!! -

What an unforgettable weekend in an absolutely perfect cabin! Townsend has become very special to myself and my now fiancé! My boyfriend and I were in need of a relaxing, cozy weekend away, and Townsend exceeded those expectations. We went to Cades Cove, saw five bears, and found a cut-off where I was then asked to become a wife! We loved the Peddler in Gatlinburg for a nice dinner and Company Distilling for some cornhole and local beer! We didn't get to do any hiking this trip but recommend Tuckaleechee Caverns for rainy days. Knotty Pine will forever hold a special place on our hearts as well as Townsend, TN. We will be back. Thank you!! -

We really enjoyed our stay in your cozy cabin. I pretended it was mine for 2 days! Haven't seen rain in several weeks. There was a BIG storm today! Loved sitting out on the deck and listening to it. Plan on coming back again sometime. -

My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon. The cabin exceeded our expectations! We love Townsend, and love the location of this cabin. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. We look forward to coming back! -

My husband and I loved our stay @ this cozy cabin. It was a perfect "honeymoon re-do" since I got sick on our trip to Antigua LOL! We went hiking, shopping, white water rafting, & explored Anakeesta Park! Spruce Falls was so beautiful and worth the hike! We enjoyed our hot tub and bathtub after our long adventurous days! Can't wait to come back again! -

We so needed this cabin's peace and quiet. The cabin is welcoming and beautiful. It's the perfect size for a long weekend respite. We leave here recharged and happy hearts. We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Appalachia Bistro, but otherwise stayed in and rested, enjoying the quiet. We booked again for our anniversary in Oct. -

The cabin was the perfect getaway from our elopement! We had so much fun here and it was a much-needed week away from reality. It is so peaceful here but still close to all the fun activities. We went white water rafting, ziplining, cave exploring, horseback riding, and so much more! TN holds a special place in our hearts and we will definitely be coming back! -

We LOVED our stay at Knotty Pine. What an adorable, very clean and beautifully decorated cabin! We enjoyed the ease of turning on the fireplace. It was perfect for late nights & cool mornings. Knotty Pine is the perfect getaway for two. This is our 2nd time staying with SmokyCabins and we plan to return next year too! -
