  Cute cabin. It is perfect for 1-2 people. Loved the views, but didn't like the driveway. We have been coming to the area for 30 years, before it was a resort and it was gravel. It seems like the driveways keep getting steeper and steeper. Do back in. We have stayed with smoky cabins in the past and they always have a good selection of cabins.

  Enjoyed ourselves very much. We stayed Thanksgiving weekend and cooked a turkey breast in the oven. The hills are steep but my Tucson made it up even on wet pavement. We backed into the driveway as recommended by others, it made it easier to unpack the car. I would recommend and stay again.

  Beautiful quiet spot to take a break from the noise. We loved it . The drive up is steep but our Equinox made it just fine . If it were winter I'd say have a 4 wheel drive . But trust me this place is beautiful and so peaceful . Perfect spot for couples

  Cabin was very nice and enjoyable - perfect space for two, quiet, and close to the western portion of Great Smoky Mountains National Park - easy access, very little traffic to get into and out of the park from Townsend. Hot tub, gas fireplace, large porch with view and propane fire pit made for a relaxing time.

  We had a wonderful time in the Smoky Mountains and loved coming “home” to our little cabin each night after a day of adventures. Loved the extra special touches like the fall decorations!

  There are treacherous roads within the cabin resort. We had difficulty in a 4 wheel drive truck. The site says that the roads are passable but we did not venture out unless the roads were dry. This cabin would not be a good idea if you are not physically fit or used to steep inclines. Overall the cabin was nice. Very secluded and adorable. Their maintenance man and woman were amazing!!

  This was our second trip to Pipers Place, and we had another amazing experience! The cabin is the most perfect quiet getaway in Townsend. My husband and I love the quick access to great hiking trails, beautiful Cades Cove, and great restaurants. The cabin had everything we needed and was extremely clean and comfortable.

  It was beautiful private cabin which we thoroughly enjoyed. The driveway was a little difficult to back into, being steep & curved, but my husband got used to it since we stayed 3 weeks. I was surprised at the spider webs all over but most were not inside & it was very pleasant indoors.

  The cabin is exactly as shown in the pictures. As some have mentioned, the road to the cabin is extreme uphill and the driveway is extreme down hill. I had no problem getting to the cabin with my AWD SUV and for me, I found it was easier to back down the driveway instead of pulling in. The porch is awesome to sit on and relax. The hot tub was also very relaxing.

  We love how secluded everything is and really get the experience of driving up the mountains. We also loved the layout of the house. It made the most of the space and seemed bigger than it really was. Didn’t need anything bigger.

  My husband and I had a wonderful time here on our honeymoon!!! The view was beautiful and relaxing! We do suggest that anyone planning on staying here use a car with 4 wheel drive to travel because the mountain roads up to the cabin are very steep and get slick in the rain.

  We had a wonderful time and the cabin was perfect. We were in town to see our friends get married! Absolutely loved the fire pit that’s beside the hot tub! Management was also wonderful with all of the email reminders and also for keeping the binder in the room of all the restaurants and things to do near by!❤️

  Once we got past the curves and blind hills on the way in, the cabin was exactly as described. Clean, nicely decorated and in beautiful setting close to hiking trails. If you plan to cook any meals, consider bringing your favorite pot or pan as good cookware was the only item we found lacking.

  Pipers Place was so beautiful and clean inside,very pristine.I was so very happy to experience the Smoky Mountains in this cabin.When the reviews say the roads are very steep,believe me,they are not lying.I mean STEEP !!! My tires on my blazer were skipping trying to get up the hills on dry road,thats how steep,you are really up there in Pipers place. I stayed at pipers Place from Dec.22nd-Dec.27th and it rained,then it snowed,the steep roads iced up really bad,and no one can get in,and no one can get out,the office really accomodated us,with snow plows and rides in an ATV to get to and from our vehicle which we had to leave at the bottom of the mountain,me,myself I found this to be a very exciting, and adventurous, experience,it was all so well worth it,the people at the office are so nice also,anything you need,you just call them,(the # is in the book in the room,read it,it will tell you what they expect)) and they answer all questions you may have,and WILL accomodate you,the snow fall made everything look like pure Heaven over the mountains,so,so well worth it.I love snow,and got it Christmas Eve,through Christmas Day,could not have came at a better time.The hot tub,was also amazing in 11 degree weather outside,yes the hot tub is outside,and you stay really warm in it.Pipers Place is pure heaven,the only thing I didnt like too much was the shower,no water pressure really,but that was a small thing,compared to all we experienced.Anyway, definitly would recommend.Enjoy !

  The cabin was great and just what we were looking for. The road was very steep and we were glad to have the SUV with four wheel drive once we entered the resort. Everything was perfect and we even had some snow which made the experience even better.

  This is a great cabin for 2 at a great price. Loved it. Hated the ride to get there. It is VERY steep! If it rains and the road is wet you are in real trouble. would not return for that reason. I saw the reviews about this and thought it can't be that bad but in my opinion it is. If you have a 4 wheel no problem

  I think the value was good for the cabin. The drive up to the cabin was a bit precarious. The cabin was comfortable and decorated nicely. The view isn’t great, but it was nice to sit out on the swing and enjoy the woods. The bed was comfortable and so was the reclining sofa. Shower is small and door leaks water out on the floor.

  We have never stayed on this side of the Smokies and generally stay only in hotels. We LOVED this location and cabin! Piper's Place was perfect for the two of us and we'd love to return in late fall or early winter for another visit. We had a much-needed and wonderfully relaxing time.

  We fell in love with Piper’s Place and The Smoky Mountains and plan to come back often, even later this year and hopefully with our boys. The town is quiet with just enough to do and the perfect scenery. We wouldn’t want to vacation anywhere else in TN! The cabin was beautifully decorated, fully stocked with all needs, including seasonings and coffee filters! Plenty of towels provided. We loved the jacuzzi tub and the giant bed. We slept so soundly. The tin roof was magical when it rained. This cabin is so romantic and wonderful, I can’t give it enough praise. I loved the rocking chairs outside and the swing. The view is gorgeous! It’s quiet and safe feeling. You won’t regret your stay here! Tip: if you have it, drive a four wheel drive vehicle. We had to back up the last two steep hills up to the cabin! We just spun in place going forward with our FWD.

  Very Nice Cabin, nice hot tub. Drive way is really steep. My wife and I are both disabled and had a hard time getting in and out. We asked about steps but did not think about about driveway. But it was worth the effort.

  Spectacular! We really felt at home here and the place was spic and span clean! I will caution that the parking is on an incline so make sure you have at least a quarter tank of gas otherwise it won't reach your lines... Smoky Cabins was kind enough to send up a full jug of gas when we realized we couldn't start the truck the morning after we got there. Great cabin and great customer service! Thank you

  The cabin was perfect for my husband and I, and it had everything we needed in it. Also, it is only a short drive to Cades Cove. The view from the porch was beautiful, and although there are other cabins close by, it still felt secluded.

  Loved it! Very relaxing. Had a grill, a hot tub, and a bed! Yes it had everything else too, but I only needed those three, lol. Yes the drive up was a bit crazy, but that was the fun of it. We are in the mountains! After two trips up and down it was easy peasy. Tons of stuff to do.... must drive the foot hills and maybe the dragon’s tail(318 curves in 11 miles, it’s crazy but it’s cool) must go to tuckaleechee caverns and the lost sea( very very cool). Lots of great little places to eat at too, but be mindful that most close at 8-9pm. We found ourselves getting back late and searching for open places.

  What a great weekend! The Cabin was perfect for my new Fiancee and I. It had everything we needed to cook at the cabin this weekend and the everything was neat and tidy. The drive is steep like they say in the description but, that is to be expected for a cabin in the mountains! I can't wait to come back for another weekend!!!

  Absolutely wonderful cabin for a weekend getaway. After reading the reviews, we decided that we would take all our food, coffee, filters etc. so we would not have to come down off of the steep hill. We have a four-wheel drive truck but we did not need to put it in four-wheel drive to make it up the hill. The open floor plan of the cabin felt spacious, lots of light from the windows and tastefully decorated. The bed was a little soft for my taste but still we slept well. The privacy of the jacuzzi was perfect. The shower is like the photo shows but at 6'2 I could manage. Very clean upon arrival. The directions to the cabin made it easy to find. We'll be back.

  This cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway for 2. Very clean and fully stocked with everything we needed other than food. Very impressed and will definitely be back. The road up was a little nerve racking but we looked at it as part of the experience!

  It is a great cabin and the perfect size for a couple. We loved sitting on the porch swing and relaxing. The fireplace was great too. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. The kitchen was small but had everything that we needed. We were in a Jeep Wrangler so we had no problems with the drive up but it might be rough in bad weather without 4 wheel drive.

  The cabin was great for our first trip to Tennessee! Being 40 minutes from Gatlinburg was good and bad. Be warned, the drive up to this cabin is VERY steep. We were in a Toyota Camry and it was insanely scary. If it were snowing or icey, we wouldn't have made it up. Other than that, the cabin was great, the amenities were just what we needed for 2 people.

  Lovely cabin. Even has a little mountain view. Lots if lighting. Liked all the little extras like the full length mirror, walking sticks, curling iron, and the liquid soap at the sinks.

  We really loved the cabin! It was very quaint and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed both hot tub and jetted tub. We were disappointed that as high as the cabin is situated, there's no mountain view, only trees. However, it was extremely private. Road and driveway is pretty steep and we were driving a jeep...just be prepared. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Townsend was a nice town with a lot nearby to do. About a 30 minute drive to Pigeon Forge and 45-50 for Gatlinburg because of taking the county roads. Very romantic cabin...we were there for our 25th anniversary.

  Cabin was amazing!! Absolutely NO complaints. Pipers Place was the perfect cabin for a romantic getaway. Everything was provided except food and drinks. Even ice and ziplock bags. Porch is very private which was amazing. Bed was very comfortable as well as the couch and other furniture. Cabin was super clean right down to the porch and outdoor jacuzzi. I read several reviews about the roads being steep up to the cabin and thought “how steep could they be?” Well I am here to tell you they are indeed steep. I am from Alabama and don’t do those roads. But my husband wasn’t phased a bit. We were in a midsize sports sedan and made it up just fine. He drove while I held my eyes closed.

  The cabin is lovely and may be worth more than is charged. Don’t come in anything without 4 wheel drive if it’s raining. The concrete is very slippery. Checkout at ten is hard if you are from another time zone or a late riser.
