Step into the large, comfy living room, where oversized windows and sliding glass doors frame the beautiful scenery outside. On chilly mountain evenings, you can curl up by the seasonal gas fireplace and watch the shadows dance across the trees.
Restful Retreats
- Master Suite: Features a luxurious King-size bed, a flat-screen TV, ample storage in the dresser and closet, and the added privacy of an ensuite half-bathroom.
- Second Bedroom: Perfect for families, this room offers a Queen-size bed and a Twin bed, plus its own flat-screen TV and plenty of closet space.

- Holiday Schedule: Out of respect for our staff, we do not allow check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
- No Pets: Absolutely no pets of any kind are allowed at Owl’s Roost.

NO PETS ALLOWED OF ANY KIND; IN THIS CABIN.
Check-In:
*3 pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the cabin
Check-Out:
*10 am - Please follow our checkout guidelines.
Fireplaces:
*On During: October 1st - April 1st
Common Concerns:
*Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather.
*TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem.
*Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Please let us know if they are causing trouble; we will handle it as quickly and efficiently as possible. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors.
Cancellation Policy:
*$50 cancellation fee
*Before 30 days - you will get all of your money back (-$50)
*Within 30 days - whatever dates we can rebook, this is the amount that we will refund (-$50). Example: if you had 5 nights & we rebooked 4 nights = you will be refunded 4 night+tax+cleaning fee

The cabin was clean, comfortable and well-stocked. A little worn and aged, not like a sparkling new hotel room, but good enough for us! Great location, directly before the park entrance. We are very happy with our stay there.

Owlsroost was in a perfect location for us. It allows for quick access to the edge of the park, away from the crowds. The screened porch was amazing and we saw the local bear. Check-in/check-out was easy.

We have stayed in 6 different cabins with Smoky Cabins and they have all been great, but this cabin is the "cream of the crop"--can you tell I am married to a 3rd generation farmer :) Arrived March 1 and within 1 hour of being there we were greeted by what appeared to be a yearling bear, there was nothing cooking on the grill yet so he went on his way up the mountain. We are already planning next trip and look forward to staying in Owl's Roost many more times!!! Extra special thank you to Cathy at Smoky Cabins, we think she is awesome.
